The city’s annual Christmas in Pittston event will take place Saturday, Dec. 2, and will feature a new event.

Anyone who donates a toy to the Salvation Army can participate in a Toy Truck Parade presented by Froggy 101 at 5 p.m. The parade will start at Cooper’s and will end at the Tomato Festival Lot.

Santa Claus will arrive at the tree in the lot at 5:30 p.m. and the tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m.

Free horse and carriage rides will be available from 5 to 8 p.m., along with free photos with Santa, hot chocolate compliments of the Salvation Army, balloons from Jubilee Balloons, carolers, music and dancing.
