Church plans soup
and salad dinner
Members of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Mount Zion Road, Harding, will hold an all-you-can-eat soup and salad supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.
A variety of soups, chili, salads, breads, beverages and desserts will be available. Meals cost $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

St. John’s Lutheran Church announces upcoming events
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7 Wood St., Pittston, announced the following activities:
Hanging of the Green will be held during the service Sunday Nov. 26.
Week Day Bible School is held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays. A child-friendly dinner will be followed by interactive lessons and activities. For information, contact the church and leave a message for Marcia.
Outside of council meetings, all events are open to the public.
Members can pick up fourth quarter church helper lists and Portals of Prayer in the rear of the church before or after services.
The church has a surplus of sanctuary candles. The candles are available for purchase for $4 each. Contact the church and leave a message if you are interested.
The church is renting out its lower level for $100 for three hours and $35 for each additional hour, plus $100 returnable security deposit. The hall can accommodate a maximum of 50 people. Email the church to receive photos of the space.
