Oblates will celebrate

Feast of Christ the King

The Feast of Christ the King will be celebrated at the Oblates of St. Joseph Chapel at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26. Sacred Heart Singers will provide music for the event with a prelude of contemporary music selections beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The public and all members and friends of the Enthronement Guild are invited to this liturgy in honor of Christ the King. A table of religious items will be offered at no charge; donations will be accepted. Refreshments will follow.

Archaeology meeting

will be held in Duryea

Bob Mischak will speak about the Seven Years War at the November meeting of the Frances Dorrance Chapter of the Society of Pennsylvania Archaeology. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Duryea Municipal Building, 315 Main St., Duryea.

Mischak will address conflicts between the British colonists and the French and Native Americans in the region between 1755 and 1763 and the worldwide implications.
