Holy Rosary School’s student council officers recently accepted a $2,250 donation from the Cpl. Dale Kridlo Memorial Run, held in May. Cpl. Kridlo, a 1991 graduate of Holy Rosary School, was killed in Afghanistan in 2010 defending our country. He was just 33 when he was killed in action in Afghanistan on Nov. 7, 2010. A United States Army soldier supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, Cpl. Kridlo chose to be the point man of his patrol and died fighting to protect his fellow soldiers. Kridlo received numerous awards, including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Holy Rosary School, Duryea, thanks Cpl. Kridlo’s family and those who helped organize the event.
