On Dec. 10, 2016, St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston, was the setting for the wedding of Mallory Nobile and Joseph Strubeck, both of West Pittston.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Margy Nobile, of Pittston.
The groom is the son of Patricia Strubeck, of Avoca, and the late Donald Strubeck.
Monsignor John Bendik was principal celebrant and the Rev. Joseph Elston concelebrated the 1 p.m. ceremony.
Diana Nobile, Washington, D.C., sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Strubeck, San Francisco, California, sister of the groom; Lisa Nobile Pettit, Langhorne; Alyssa Nobile Pianelli, South Glastonbury, Connecticut; Eileen Callahan Rosen, West Pittston, and Melissa Sprau, Dallas, all cousins of the bride; Sara Zelinski, Forty Fort; Kim Wolcott, Philadelphia; Jill McGlynn, Plains Twp. and Meghan Blewitt, Forty Fort.
Dr. Eric Hunt, Blue Bell, friend of the bride and groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Alex Strubeck, Dickson City, brother of the groom; Mark Paul Nobile, Pittston, brother of the bride; Vince Nobile, Media; A.J. Nobile, New York, New York; Mark Pianelli, South Glastonbury, Connecticut, all cousins of the bride; Brian Krug, Mechanicsburg; John Bindo, Jamison; Paurush Shah, Orange, California; Dr. J.C. Blewitt, Forty Fort.
The bride is a graduate of Seton Catholic High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from King’s College. She is employed by Susquehanna Brewing Company, Pittston.
The groom is a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Scranton. He is employed by Lightspeed Technologies, Wilkes-Barre.
A reception was held that evening at The Woodlands Inn and Resort in Plains Twp. Following the wedding, the couple honeymooned in Barbados. They reside in West Pittston.
