A 1,000-pound bronze plaque and marker was installed at the site of the President John F. Kennedy statue on Kennedy Boulevard in Pittston on Nov. 8. The plaque, which was approved by the JFK Statue Committee, lists the committee members, donors and acknowledgement to the deceased members of the councils involved. Greg Timonte, of Dupont Monument, handled the installation of the Pennsylvania Bluestone that came from a quarry in Kingsley. The plaque was lowered into the ground next to the life size statue of 35th president of the United States of America. First row, from left, are Greg Timonte and Tim Whitman, from Dupont Monument. Second row: JFK Statue Committee members Julio Caprari, Melanie Murosky, Paul Caprari and P.J. Melvin.
