The Pittston Area Marching Patriots will host their annual Pittston Area Cavalcade Invitational at Charlie Trippi Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 28. Gates open at 3 p.m. and the show starts at 5:30 p.m. Eleven area marching bands will perform, including Wyoming Area High School and Wilkes University in exhibition.
This year’s field show is entitled “Out Of This World.” In the vastness of space, there are endless possibilities and the marching band competition will explore those possibilities, looking for answers, and seeing who (or what) can be found in the last great frontier — outer space.
Soloists for the program include: Sarah Pontier, alto sax, and Lilly Vito, clarinet.
Staff includes: Brendan Carter, director/ percussion caption head; Nick Viccica, assistant director/ front ensemble coordinator; Robert Lugiano, musical arranger; Adam H. Burdett, drill design; Brian Marsh, visual coordinator; Laurie Burdett, color guard moderator; MaryAnn Lugiano, musical consultant/ technician; Bryan Burnham, brass tech; Joseph DeMace, battery tech; Jarrod Cooper, percussion tech, and Jake Pearce, percussion tech.
The event will include food, candy grams, basket raffles and more. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students/seniors. Children under 4 are free.
