Jenkins yard waste
Jenkins Twp. reminds all residents to put their yard waste in the appropriate containers. Yard waste containers can be similar to the Jenkins Twp. recycling containers. The containers must have perforations in the bottom, handles on each side and cannot have a lid on the top. The cans also cannot be on wheels or exceed 20 gallons. Filled containers cannot weigh more than 30 pounds.
These regulations are in place for workers’ safety.
If you have an excessive amount of yard waste or are cleaning a large area to remove small branches, shrubbery clippings, etc. and need to fill a pickup truck, the Jenkins Twp. Department of Public Works will assist with compost preparation. Call the township building at 570-654-3315 for scheduling.
