Wyoming Area Catholic fourth grade students recently held its annual Books and Brunch project. Under the guidance of their teacher, James Renfer, the students read a biography and created a 3-D model of the person they read about. During oral presentations, each student shared facts and information about his or her book and encouraged others to read the book. The biographies read were broad-ranged and varied from the comedic genius of the Three Stooges, to thoroughbred racing’s greatest legend, Seabiscuit, to Jeff Kinney, writer of the children’s book “Diary of A Wimpy Kid,” to American aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart. After the class presentation, the students enjoyed a brunch to celebrate their completed projects. With their models, first row, from left, are Katie Morgan, Lily Kasa, Christian Renfer, Mark Talarico and Michael Oncay. Second row: Kendall Morris, Samara Bellas, Isabella Serkosky, Michael Weiss, Brandon Cegelka, Ian Harris, Allie Mozeleski and Abby Butler.
