Wyoming Area science students competed at the annual Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Science Olympiad held March 8 at Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus. The Science Olympiad is devoted to increasing student interest in science, recognizing outstanding achievement and improving the quality of science education. More than 50 schools from Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania competed, with the team from Wyoming Area placing second in the middle school division. The Wyoming Area High School team finished fifth in the high school division. Both Wyoming Area teams will move on to the state competition at Juniata College in April.
